I must have about 20 messages in my inbox asking me this exact question.
We can’t forget that restrictive eating disorders are the only ones out there. For some people, “pick up the fork” or “eat more ice cream” aren’t sayings that are going to encourage recovery for them. We all need difference advice, different forms of support, and should be treated individually. So for those of you out there struggling with a non-restrictive eating disorder, hopefully this is helpful.
